Humidification and Humidity Control in Data Centres
Dry air in a data centre creates a risk of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) resulting in potential data loss. Most higher tier data centres utilize a humidity control system to maintain a controlled relative humidity level throughout data halls to offset this risk and increase the integrity of the site.
Humideco is an official partner to Stulz, the data centre cooling specialists. We distribute, install and maintain the industry leading range of low energy Stulz Ultrasonic humidifier systems throughout the UK.
Stulz ultrasonic humidifiers are highly energy efficient, using up to 93% less energy than steam humidifiers with the same capacity. Unlike steam humidifiers, ultrasonic humidifiers do not generate unwanted heat. Instead, the humidification function actively assists cooling which will further reduce the power usage effectiveness (PUE) of the data centre.
Humideco work closely with a number of leading data centre specialists and we have supplied low energy ultrasonic units and systems for high profile data centres around the UK, including those operated by DXC Technology, CenturyLink, NTT, Three and Datum.
